Our Operations Manager Kevin McCutchen has been selected as a finalist for CFO of the Year. This annual event is hosted by the Charlotte Business Journal and Sponsored by Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and The Monaghan Group. The awards program recognizes local professionals with outstanding performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards.

We attended the USMC MUD RUN again in Columbia, South Carolina on October 15th, 2011. The course was 5.2 miles. They have split the event into a spring and fall events due to the overwhelming amount of teams wanting to compete so the overall number of teams is smaller at each event to help with traffic and course management. One of our employees Matt Labell competed twice in the event this year – Back to Back – He fielded his own personal team that finished in 23rd place overall(top 1% of all teams). He then joined our company team.
We finished in 564th place overall (27th percentile) out of 2,022 total teams with a time of 1:29:22. We are going to compete in the spring event this year and hope to get in the top 20%.
We attended the Charlotte CFMA (Construction Financial Management Association) Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament in April 2010. Proceeds from the event go to local students pursuing a degree in accounting in the form of scholarships awarded at the annual award banquet. The event was a success selling out the full course.
It was held at the Tega Cay Golf Club and we were blessed with beautiful weather to enjoy.
